A good – or bad – candidate experience can impact everything from the speed in which a position is filled to the quality of candidates who apply.
That’s why we’re always looking for ways to enhance the Talent Network's candidate experience, and one way we’re doing that is by making the editing of job preferences more intuitive.
Our research shows that 85 percent of candidates who opted to update their preferences (job title or location) did so in the footer and not using the “edit preferences” box within the automated email. Therefore, we’ve removed that section from the body of the email in order to better emphasize the job alert criteria chosen by the job seeker.
Not only does this allow for more space to focus on the job and apply conversion, it also addresses the way job seekers prefer to edit preferences within an email, making them more inclined to click, edit and receive relevant jobs. Receiving more relevant jobs ultimately increases the open and click rates of job recommendation emails sent to your talent network members.
The “edit preferences” box has been removed from the job recommendation email and the “edit preferences” text has been relocated into the email body, where more job seekers take action on clickable text.
This change has automatically occurred for all English Talent Network automated job recommendation emails.
