“We should overcome the fear of making mistakes.”

Lynn Liu is our Engineering Lead in China. Lynn started with CareerBuilder as a Software Engineer almost three and a half years ago, and about a year ago was promoted to Engineering Lead. She now leads a team of five other Software Engineers. 

Though team events have looked different during this time of remote work, Lynn shared that she has enjoyed the team-building events at the Shanghai office over the years, as they gave her the chance to connect with coworkers from other teams and departments. In addition, she enjoyed the CareerBuilder Hackathon innovation events and having the opportunity to create and innovate. 

What attracted you to CareerBuilder? 

"CareerBuilder’s practice to constantly support women in the workforce is impressive. It is a pleasure to work at a company that pushes diversity and inclusion. It is a privilege to get different input and feedback from an international working environment."

What’s the best piece of advice that you have ever received? 

"Both of my managers have said, 'We should overcome the fear of making mistakes.' At least we could learn from the errors that could be the lesson for people who join us later." 

What is the most satisfying part of your job? 

"The pride I feel in providing technical solutions to resolve our clients’ pain points."
