In 2022, CareerBuilder focused on helping you target and attract the candidates you need. Our technology enabled us to maintain a growing marketplace of unique, quality candidates at a competitive price for our customers. For our candidates, we redefined job matching in terms of the skills they have and met them where they were to continue to grow our marketplace. 

Read on to learn more about what we did to help you find more quality and diverse candidates, and how we made it easier for you to do business with us. 

Attracted a larger audience 

  • Grew our audience to over 41 million active candidates in our talent pool by reaching new audiences through new engagement strategies, strategic partnerships, and media. This translates to 1 in 4 workers in the U.S. workforce actively looking for and applying to jobs on 

  • Improved job matching algorithms by updating Boolean and geo results, which increased job applications by 10%.  

  • Enabled One-Click Apply where candidates can leverage their saved profile and apply for jobs with ease. This update has delivered a better experience for candidates and has more than doubled job application rates from numerous channels.  

Delivered a higher quality audience 

  • Developed CareerBuilder CoLab, our latest resource for candidates that offers guidance on salaries, resumes, and how they can translate their unique skills into new opportunities. With CareerBuilder technology and CoLab providing the resources candidates need to achieve personal success, we’re fostering more meaningful employee matches that can result in happier hires. We’re also delivering deeper candidate insights to provide employers with a larger and improved pool of quality talent because job seekers are more informed of and matched to the roles best suited for them. 

  • Integrated with top applicant tracking system (ATS) solution providers Workday and UKG to provide a seamless job application experience for candidates and more quality applications for you – all at no cost! We’re working together for you so that you can improve your candidate experience and reduce your time to fill and hiring costs. 

Reached a more diverse audience 

  • Launched the 100,000 Careers initiative, a partnership with iHeartRadio’s Black Information Network (BIN), to build wealth within the Black community by helping them build the career of their dreams. In addition to featuring jobs, we offer additional resources to the BIN audience such as free 1-1 career coaching sessions, skillset matching to help discover new roles, and custom content. Our reach is over 18M Black Americans. 

  • Honored the value, experience, and skills veterans bring to the workplace by creating a new Veteran Job Postings enhancement. With this enhancement, you can engage veterans, transitioning military members, and their families by showcasing your commitment to these candidates – 30% of our total audience is military affiliated. Candidates can see your support for veterans and their families on all your job postings and filter to only look for jobs that support them. 

  • Created a diversity sponsorship so you can highlight your company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and raise your brand’s visibility among candidates at key touchpoints such as the home page, job details page, job recommendation page, confirmation page, post apply email, and recommendation emails. This sponsorship went live in November 2022 and resulted in 7.4M impressions.
