In a tight labor market, when demand for workers is high and unemployment is historically low, it can be especially difficult for staffing firms to maintain the flow of candidates into open positions. Using your time effectively is crucial, and these tips can help you ensure that you’re making every minute count:

1. Choose Quality Over Quantity
Getting huge numbers of applicants may sound great – you want to place as many candidates in open positions as you can, so having a larger pool to work with seems like a good idea. The best applicant tracking systems include functions that make emailing and corresponding with applicants fast and easy. Investing a little time now to make sure you’re using these functions to their fullest extent can save you much more time in the long run.

 

3. Streamline Your Tools

Using the right tools can make all the difference. The time it takes to switch back and forth between multiple platforms with different logins can really add up, especially if those tools don’t integrate well together. Streamline your process by choosing tools that are designed to work together and remove some of the hassle from your daily tasks.

 

4. Use Sources That Convert
